The Acorn A4 (Portable)

The A4 is a full power Acorn A5000 machine packed into an A4 sized packeage, minus the expansion podules. This fully portable Acorn has an ARM 3 32-bit RISC processor running at 25Mhz. The memory is expandable to a maximum of four megabytes. The monochrome LCD screen is VGA compatible and the machine is capable of driving a 256 colour VGA monitor. An external mouse is included with the machine and an external full sized keyboard can be connected if desired. If you wish to use the system without a mouse a keyboard emulation is employed. The A4 has a 1.6 Megabyte Floppy Disk Drive and an optional (but necessary) 60 Megabyte Hard Disk Drive.
Connections to the outside world include a Centronics compatible RS232 serial interface. An Econet connection is an optinal extra. The batery pack can power the A4 for up to three and a half hours and is automaticaly charged when connected to a mains supply.
