Before removing the top plastic cover of the computer.1. Switch off the computer.
2. Remove the power lead from the wall socket.
Do not reconnect the power lead to the wall socket until you have replaced
the cover of the computer.
Do not make any adjustments inside the computer while the power lead is
connected to the wall socket.

Standing at the back of the machine, locate the inner edges of the locking pins and turn these towards you to release the top cover. Lift the back of the cover 2" and remove by pulling towards you - it will unclip from the front.
Remove any podules that are fitted, together with the backplane and processor board, the position of these components is shown in fig.1. Place these safely to one side, preferably upon anti-static material. Remove the locking pins from the back of the machine by pulling straight up and out of the case. Locate the front locking pins and turn a quarter turn towards centre of machine - these may be very tight but will turn - remove from case by pulling straight up.
Remove both the power and ribbon cable from the floppy drive together with the power cable from any other device which may be fitted in the second 5¼" drive bay.
Remove the segment by gently easing upwards at each corner and separating from the base.
Locate the VRAM card slot on the main board (see fig.1). Line up the keyed edge of the VRAM board (see fig.2) with the white clip (see fig.1). Push the VRAM board firmly into slot until it clicks into place, ensuring that it is upright and level at all times.
Re-assemble case section by reversing disassembly instructions. Replace lid of computer by sliding to front of machine, raise back edge ½"-1" up and clip cover into front of machine by holding front fascia and applying forward pressure.
