The Signal Acquisition Scsi Device (SASD) is a standalone peripheral that plugs into the SCSI bus and provides a low cost, convenient means of acquiring analog and digital signal for SGI workstations. This technology enables the workstation to directly control realtime situations. The SASD handles up to 256 channels of analog data, and 128 digital I/O's and comes with an easy-to-use function library and a ready to use signal display program. Doctors, engineers, technicians and systems architects will use SASD technology for medical instrumentation, process control, industrial automation, robotics, and test and measurement applications.
