Impressario Developer's Kit Information
The Impressario Developer's Kit allows application and
driver developers to create software that fully supports
printing and scanning in a manner that is consistent with
the Impressario architecture.
The Impressario Developer's kit addresses the needs of the following audiences:
- Printer and scanner driver developers who want to support a new devices.
- Application developers who want to provide printing and scanning
capabilities from within their applications.
- Developers who want to provide direct printing of file formats not
currently supported by Impressario.
The Impressario Developer's Kit features:
- C-language API to the System V and BSD printer spooling systems.
- C-language API for scanning.
- Motif compatible widget for printing.
- APIs for SGI Image file manipulation, and more.
- Automated printer support test suites.
- Source code examples and implementation guidelines.
