THE PROJECT JUMPSTART II

ACI MICRO SYSTEMS, INC. AND D.C. PRIVATE INDUSTRY COUNCIL PROUDLY PRESENT:

The Project Jumpstart II was formed through the D.C. Urban Work Partnership that includes the D.C. Private Industry Council, Inc., Marshall Heights Community Development Organization, Inc. and ACI Micro Systems, Inc. Jumpstart II is an economic development initiative which creates jobs in a highly technical industry and provides skills training in computer technology, for out-of-school, "at-risk" populations between the ages of eighteen and thirty.

The project strives to achieve economic self-sufficiency for unemployed individuals and their families by providing training and employment opportunities in the area of computer manufacturing and assemblage. The Jumpstart II Training Center will train 100 students annually how to assemble, test and network 486 and Pentium computer systems. Upon completion of the six-month course, the trainee is offered full-time employment in the ACI manufacturing plant as an assembler, technician or network engineer. By manufacturing and marketing the Jumpstart II line of computers, ACI expects to make significant contributions in corporate and income taxes. ACI also expects to pay out several million dollars in salaries to managers, sales persons, instructors and support staff.

The D.C. Urban Work Partnership targets econmically disadvantaged and unemployed persons throughout the city of Washington, D.C. For example, a welfare recipient with two preschool age children receives $12,709 annually in government subsidies. After six months of successful training, ACI will employ such individuals and pay them a minimum of $15,000 per year plus medical benefits. As a result, rather than collecting from the government, the employees will pay income tax plus sales tax on their purchases.

Project Jumpstart II will enhance the long term employability of trainees, create 400 new job opportunitites in an area of high unemployment and introduce a model for inner city business development for the District of Columbia and other metropolises throughout the Unites States.

The ACI JS66-A is available for purchase at a great price.
