In the tranquil waters of any galaxy, few things are as spectacular, as dramatic as the violent convulsions suffered by an agonizing star. Such stellar explosions have a particular effect on a certain breed of astrophysicists, who engage themselves in a frantic period of activity pretty much to the tune of the dying star.
This server is dedicated to those interested in or working on these fields of Astronomy: novae, supernovae, other cataclysmic variables, late stages of stellar evolution, and, frankly, anything else that pleases you.
