Welcome To The ElectroScience Laboratory

The ElectroScience Laboratory Facilities

The ElectroScience Laboratory (ESL) is a part of The Ohio State University , college of engineering. In addition to our state-of-the-art indoor anechoic chamber RF measurement facility, we have a complete complement of electromagnetic test facilities, as well as a fully supported team of researchers who are active in both experimental and theoretical research.

Who We are

We are a diverse group of people who have come together and focused our efforts towards a single goal, pre-eminance in the research of electromagnetics, since the mid 1950's. Originally founded by the late George Sinclair, the laboratory has served the U.S. Government and commercial groups since its inception. The most recent photograph of the lab members was taken in 1988.

What We Do

The ESL is chartered to provide graduate students with the optimal graduate environment, supporting their pursuit of master's theses and doctoral dissertations. Supporting this effort are a number of faculty, researchers, staff and students. Research is sponsored by a variety of organizations, and some of these programs conducted at the ESL are shown here (select Electrical Engineering).

Current Research Topics

Some of the research topics currently be pursued at the ElectroScience Laboratory appear here.

What Services Are Available

Our Editorial joat (jane-of-all-trades), Lyn Snedden, is adding recent copies of abstracts from our publications (theses, dissertations and technical reports) available here.

Our librarian, Kim Archer, prepares the lastest items of news interest in the ESL NEWS.

Currently, we are expanding our World-Wide-Web server, and new items will be added as time progresses. For information as to What's New, click on the highlighted term "What's New".

Where We Are Located

The ESL is located in the State of Ohio, in the City of Columbus, on the Ohio State University Campus.
