The race began in Sydney Harbour at 1:00 PM on December 26 when more than 380 entrants commenced the 630 nautical mile run down Australia's eastern seaboard to the finish line on Hobart's Derwent River.

We mounted this WWW resource in order to keep you up to date with all the latest from race headquarters, including current positions and weather reports. We also delved into the past to give you a history of the race, and came back to the present with a guide to celebrations in Hobart at the end of the race. If you still wanted more, we have information on all the entries and up to the minute news as it was posted.

The Race has now concluded ; Over the next 2 weeks or so we will be putting together the final results, and some of the information that wasn't made available through the race. Hopefully this will include photos of the yachts. Hopefully race details and photos will be included in the database.

So even though the race has finished, the information will keep coming. Anyway until next year "Have a good one!".

Oh I forgot to mention, hopefully we will be covering other special events in Tassie. To keep informed about these I have created a mailing list.
