Plasma and Accelerator Physics Group
University of Colorado at Boulder
Welcome!
The Plasma and Accelerator Physics Group at the University
of Colorado has members from the Department of Astrophysical,
Planetary, and Atmospheric Sciences and the Physics Department.
Our work is in plasma and accelerator physics especially as
analyzed by techniques of nonlinear dynamics.
Current research topics include:
- Nonlinear, integrable accelerator lattices
- Adiabatic
free-electron lasers
- Nonlinear
evolution of coasting beam modes
- Transport in asymmetric toroidal plasma confinement devices
- Limitations of quasilinear theory in longitudinal plasma turbulence
Group Members:
- John R. Cary (John.Cary@colorado.edu),
Professor of Astrophysical, Planetary, and Atmospheric Sciences and Physics and
Chair, Department of Astrophysical, Planetary, and Atmospheric Sciences
- Isidoros Doxas (Isidoros.Doxas@Colorado.EDU),
Research Associate in Astrophysical, Planetary, and Atmospheric Sciences
- Svetlana G. Shasharina
