FOREIGN PRODUCTS SEIZED IN WAREHOUSES
The Consumer Protection Agency announced that 12,500 foreign
products had been seized from Mexico City supermarket and Department
Store warehouses for failure to comply with Official Mexican Norms
(NOMs). Most of the items were seized from Price Club, followed by
WalMart K-Mart and Woolworth, El Financiero Reported March 15, 1995.
Among the products were canned seafood, refrigerators and imported soft
drinks. NOMs require detailed Spanish Language Labeling.
