ISDN Network Termination (NT1s)

The ISDN 2-wire interface must be terminated at the customer premises to provide the necessary S/T 4-wire interface. Most terminal equipment such as ISDN voice and data phones, computer terminals, terminal adapters, etc. require the S/T 4-wire interface. ADTRAN NT1s support the ANSI 2B1Q line coding and multiple switch vendors including AT&T, NEC, Northern Telecom, and Siemens.

NT1 ACE

Small, plastic, stand alone unit appropriate for desktop use. Can be powered by external power supplies such as the ISDN PS2 or the NT1 power supply kit.

ISDN PS2 Power Supply

Designed to complement the NT1 ACE. Provides up to 12 watts to the NT1 ACE and terminal equipment. Provides 9.5 seconds of reserve power to terminal equipment to bridge AC power interruptions.

NT1 Power Supply Kit

The power supply kit is a low-cost alternative power supply for the NT1 ACE. The kit includes a basic unregulated wall-mount power supply (@ 10 watts), a T adapter, and an RJ-11 cable that links power to the NT1.

NT1 Type 400 Stand Alone

Rugged, metal enclosure houses a NT1 Type 400 circuit pack and a 110 VAC to -48 VDC power supply for powering the NT1 and terminal equipment.

T400-19/23 Shelf

The standard services shelf houses up to 12 Type 400 circuit packs and is available in two sizes: a 14-slot 23" unit and a 12-slot 19" unit. The T400 shelves are excellent for storage and management of NT1s. The T400-19/23 can accommodate up to two T400 power supplies. The two internal power supplies are designed in a redundant configuration where one will power the shelf if the other fails. The shelf can also be powered by an external power supply that can support a battery backup system. The T400-23 Shelf has an optional metal wall-mount enclosure with a plexiglass door.
