The BOC Challenge The BOC Challenge is a solo, around the world yacht race founded in 1982-83 by The BOC Group, a multi-national gas and health care company headquartered in England. The 1994-95 BOC Challenge began in Charleston, South Carolina, USA on September 17,1994. Each boat will travel 27,000 miles around the world and return to Charleston approximately nine months later.

The British Telecom Global Challenge - a race the "wrong way" round the world for ordinary people. This is an unofficial web page provided by Aladdin with some information provided at the launch of the project. It will take place in 1996, and involves 15 identical yachts built of steel. The race was originally known as "The British Steel Challenge", and was originated by Chay Blyth.
