AlisaMail Open Directory Web Access
The E-mail user information stored in AlisaMail's OpenDirectory, such as name, address, telephone numbers, etc,
can be accessed by external applications using ODBC. We thought that a nice demonstration
of this technology would be to interface our World Wide Web server and let you browse our own AlisaMail OpenDirectory.As part of this demonstration, we included the ability to update personal information in the OpenDirectory from a Mosaic form. This gives our users the ability to maintain their personal information themselves.
You can search the Alisa Open Directory for employees by last name and get details about them. There is a brief online description of the technology that we used for this demonstration. The search facility uses the simple "index page" feature supported by most Web browsers.
The PC that searches the Alisa Open Directory and interfaces with our Web servers is, temporarily, a 386 PC system and is slow . Until we upgrade this machine, please bear with us.

or via FTP as described below. If you use your Web browser, be sure to
enable the "load to disk" option before choosing a file.
