With races on a bunch of continents, this series can truly call itself a world
championship. Formula 1 uses the most sophisticated road racing machines
on the planet, team budgets in excess of $100 million US dollars, and
the most talented drivers. This year, a host of new rules changes has
dramatically altered the shape of things to come in Formula 1.
The IndyCar Championship boasts a diversity unequaled in other forms of motorsport.
Races take place on road courses, temporary street circuits, an airport, and
a variety of ovals. The series also showcases the talents of many international
drivers, and also holds races in Australia and Canada. This year Firestone
returns to give Goodyear a fight for the tire title. Track records will fall.
The U.S. racing series that takes everyday family sedans and turns them
into 180 mph family sedans. Racing on a variety of ovals, and a couple
of road courses, NASCAR Winston Cup racing is the most popular form of
motorsport in the U.S., and also boasts point totals in the thousands!
