Home of nine Nobel prize winners, LBL is the first of the nine DOE national laboratories, and is located next to one of the world's great universities--the University of California at Berkeley.

Educational Programs

Microworlds is an interactive science magazine for middle and high school students. The Center for Science and Engineering Education (CSEE) runs many programs for students and teachers. The Contemporary Physics Education Project (CPEP) provides educational products for students and fans of physics. Hands on Universe makes astrophysics research tools available to teachers, students, and the museum-going public.
