At the University of Michigan, the semi-official Internet Resource Discovery Project was behind the founding of this Clearinghouse and many of the guides included in it. These efforts have evolved into a course designed specifically for guide builders: Internet Resource Discovery, Organization, and Design, offered by the School of Information and Library Studies.
