Welcome to South Bank University Department of Architecture & Civil Engineering WWW HTML site. We are based on the south bank of the Thames London UK, approximately 4 Km from Charing Cross (the cartogrophers centre of town. map ). The School of Architecture currently has about 300 students, split 200 studying for a three year undergraduate BA and 100 studying for a two year Postgraduate Diploma of Architecture. We attempt to follow a relatively pluralist approach to IT, and as such currently teach on IBM PC, Apple Mac, Power Mac, and X Windows. Software includes: AutoCAD, StrataVision, 3D Studio, Model Shop, Alias Upfront, CorelDraw, PhotoPaint, and Picture Publisher.
This is a relatively new venture for us (as of 28 May 1994) and currently holds more promise than punch. We currently hold the full Catalogue of Work for 1993-94 (47 pages at present, you might be best to switch off inline graphics from the OPTIONS menu, and then right click on the image you wish to see), a tutorial to build a rough version of the Barcelona Pavillion using UpFront from SketchTech Inc, fortnightly newsletter (during term time) which includes most of the scheduled lectures, both internal and public, and a (hopefully) growing list of architecture related internet sites .
Hopefully in the future we will hold:
