Made and released in 1981/82 (as was Spielberg's E.T.), at about the time when the Internet itself began to come alive, the movie Blade Runner has remained one of the Net's most popular and controversial films.

The style of this futuristic film noir, masterminded by noted director Ridley Scott and also designer Syd Mead, is now recognized to have influenced numerous movies and TV shows made thereafter. Thanks to Philip K. Dick's imagination, this movie was also amazingly prescient in its exploration of biotechnological manipulations. Blade Runner's undiminishing cult status may yet result in a Hollywood sequel.

Distilling the years of e-discussions about Blade Runner into a unified document, this browsable version of the Blade Runner FAQ is presented for the enjoyment of movie buffs and webheads everywhere by kind permission of dedicated author and maintainer Murray Chapman from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.
