An experimental UNT Home page

This is the University of North Texas' World Wide Web server. It is a part of the growing UNT Campus-Wide Information System consisting of our Gopher server, USENET News access, electronic mail, and of course this WWW server.

The objective of the CWIS is to promote the University of North Texas in general and specifically to provide easy and efficient access to University information for the benefit of the students, faculty, and staff of the University of North Texas. Additionally, the CWIS serves as a "launching platform" to a variety of information resources in the local community (Denton, Texas), the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, the State of Texas, and the world (via the Internet).

Before you begin exploring on your own, it's highly recommended that you take a moment to browse the current and past issues of Benchmarks, the UNT Computing Center bimonthly newsletter.

Then, to start you off, Scott's List is provided here. This is a list of over 3,000 sites to explore, organized into over 60 subject categories. Thanks go to Michael Scott, mikescot@ix.netcom.com, for compiling this list.
