IEEE DASC Object-Oriented VHDL SG Home Page

The Study Group on Object-Oriented Extensions to VHDL was established in late 1993 in response to growing interest in the idea of applying object-oriented techniques in developing VHDL models. The group is presently examining two proposals for object-oriented extensions to VHDL.

To build an understanding of what "object-oriented VHDL" might mean, what this should look like, how it might be used, and what benefits are to be expected from applying it.

The Fourth meeting of the Study Group was held on November 11th, 1994 at Tysons Corner, VA. The next meeting of the Group is scheduled on to be held in conjunction with the spring VIUF in San Diego April 3-6, 1995. Notes from previous meetings are available here. To get involved contact the chair.
