ZZ9 Plural Z Alpha - Official DNA Fan Club

[Ed note: Thanks to Iain Purdie (i.r.purdie@bradford.ac.uk) for this info]
For those of you sufficiently interested in guide as to want to join the official fan club, there is a membership form at the end of this posting, for ZZ9 Plural Z Alpha.

The club is quite large (c.900 members) but is still friendly and is run by fans for fans, it is not a profit making concern, although it does sell a large range of merchandise, any "profits" are put back into the club, usually to enable us to increase the range of merchandise to the membersa and to obtain bulk discount.

The committee is appointed annually by ballot (one human member one vote) and this makes the committee more active than on some of the staler fan groups around (and we don't get paid a penny!) We are always on the look out for fresh new talent. Once you join it can become a life long habit (I have been a member since 1982)

Honorary Members: ZZ9 Plural Z Alpha is the semi-official "Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy Appreciation Society. We organise meetings for members around the country, produce a newsletter four times a year, and offer a range of Guide-related merchandise. Membership lasts for four copies of the newsletter, and subscription rates in pounds sterling are as follows:

UK 5.00; Europe 6.00; Rest Of Universe 6.50 surface mail, 9.00 air mail

Please make all cheques and postal orders payable to ZZ9 Plural Z Alpha. Payment MUST be in STERLING. Unfortunately, we cannot accept foreign currency, bank drafts, etc. as they cost us too much to convert. Foreign members should obtain a draft or money order payable in STERLING through a UK bank.

If you have a sibling/spouse/small blue furry creature etc. who is also a Guide fan, why not enrol them at the same time? Family membership is avaliable to two people who share the same postal address. This entitles both people to membership cards, badges and all voting rights, but only one newsletter. Rates to enrol two people in a faminly membership are as above plus 2.00 sterling in all categories.

Membership details are kept on computer records. The club undertakes that membership information will not be made avaliable to any outside sources and will only be released to other members with your prior consent.
