Courses that have an asterisk after the park name (like Tees and Greens*) are private and/or fee-to-play courses. Some of them require an i.d. from the local University, for example, and some simply have "greens fees". Go figure.
The info directory currently contains information on joining the PDGA, abbreviated disc golf rules, some ad blurbs for Innova discs, a listing of major disc manufacturers and sellers with contact addresses and phone numbers, where I have them, and whatever tournament info I can wheedle out of The People Who Know This Stuff. If you want other stuff added in there, drop me a line!
Any questions, comments, additions, emendations, commendations, and all that stuff, mail it to me and I'll try to make it right! Mail to josh@pogo.cqs.washington.edu. If your browser supports forms, you can mail to me by clicking here.
Bret Hammond, a golfer in Bloomington, Indiana, is trying to drum up support for a local course. Why not look at the web page he's devoted to this. Support your fellow golfers!
New disc golf page: This is really neat! Sean Gillies has made maps and course descriptions for two of the courses in Fort Collins, Colorado, and I think this would be a really good thing for other web-savvy golfers to do. This one is the CSU campus course, and this one is the Edora Park course. Great work, Sean!
New disc-related page: Eric Graves (ecg@ccd.harris.com) has put together a page which is pretty primitive so far, but has a map of his home course on it. Neat stuff.
If you haven't checked out the tourney info page yet, you should. It's updated every couple of weeks.
Paul Brown, in Finland, has put together an especially qool web page for his local disc golf course, with a map of all nine holes, and little maps for each hole! Why don't YOU do that for YOUR home course? Huh?
Derek Clayton, out in the hinterlands of Cincinnati, has put down his 4-way with extra onions and hot sauce on the side long enough to put together a web page about the local Cincinnati disc golf scene. Since the World Amateur Championships are there this year, maybe you ought to see what he says about the local courses and stuff.
John Pay, a golfer from the Great White North (Ontario) has put together the beginnings of a page for a club in St. Thomas, Ontario; if you're from around there, or are just interested, Josh Bob says, check it out!
My home page, if you wanna know.
Tor Neilands, in Austin, has kindly made available the above sound sample as well as a couple of MPEG movies taken at Searight Park in Austin; these MPEGs are rather large (a bit over one megabyte each), so if you have a slow connection, you might want to skip 'em.
