Princeton Accountability Project

The Princeton Accountability Project

The Princeton Accountability Project is a local citizens' group dedicated to empowering citizens and holding government and industry accountable for their actions.

We are currently involved with a national campaign against the cartoon character Joe Camel. Joe is a cartoon who appeals more to children than to adults. He has been tremendously effective at selling his poisonous and addictive product to children; the number of children who smoke Camels increased by a factor of 50 in the years after the Joe Camel campaign started.

If you are interested in learning more about PAP, please contact our founder. Jonathan Dushoff (jonathan@eno.princeton.edu), or check out the more detailed information in the home page of PAP member Amy Worlton

The national campaign is coordinated by INFACT , a very cool national group that is currently involved in a number of projects focused on the marketing of tobacco to children.
