BBN Software Products Corporation

BBN Software Products Corporation develops integrated data analysis software packages that help pharmaceutical, semiconductor, chemical, electronics and aerospace companies create and produce higher quality products. The company's RS/Series family of products has been installed at thousands of sites around the world, and BBN/Clintrial and BBN/ClinTRACE have become the industry standard for clinical trials data management and analysis software for pharmaceutical and biotech companies. In May 1993, the company introduced BBN/Cornerstone, a client/server data analysis product running on standard workstations, and in July 1994 BBN/Probe was added to the family of products, giving users the ability to analyze complex time-series data from any source, in any format.

BBN HARK Systems Corporation

BBN's newest commerical venture (formed in 1994) is based on the HARK Recognizer, a speaker-independent speech recognition system that is totally software-based and uses a standard audio interface. It can recognize, independent of the speaker, over several thousand words spoken in a natural, continuous way. It can thus make hands-free operation possible for a wide range of applications.
