Clearinghouse of Subject-Oriented Internet Resource Guides
The Clearinghouse for Subject-Oriented Internet Resource Guides is a
joint effort of the University of Michigan's University Library and the
School of Information and Library Studies (SILS). Its goal is to collect
and make widely available subject-oriented guides to Internet resources.
These topical resource guides list and describe resources in the
Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Sciences. Users can search the full
texts of these guides. This resource also contains information about the
Clearinghouse itself, such as how to submit a guide, updates, and
information about the Internet Resource Discovery Projects through
which many of these guides were developed.
The Clearinghouse is maintained by Lou Rosenfeld, a
PhD student at SILS. The guides contained in the Clearinghouse were
created and are maintained by individuals around the world (most of whom
are not necessarily affiliated with the University of Michigan) who have
interests in the subjects of their particular guides.
