Filenames ending in ".Z" or ".gz" must be uncompressed after downloading. Source code and executables for a number of systems may be found in /netlib/gnu/gzip/. A good Web browser (for example, XMosaic or Netscape) will uncompress automatically. Otherwise, save as a binary file and invoke gunzip explicitly.
