San Jose Co-op hopes to provide Internet connectivity at the lowest possible rates and the best possible response to customer needs. By limiting the number of subscribers that we accept, we can respond much faster to the requests of any individual subscriber.
San Jose Co-op offers two types of interactive accounts. Both types of interactive accounts allow the user to establish a PPP link over the modem. PPP gives modem users a fully functional IP address for their own system. This allows our users to run a wide variety of Internet-aware applications (including mail, news, ftp, telnet, web, and many many more) on their own systems.
Interactive accounts may also be used without PPP. San Jose Co-op offers many popular software packages for reading mail, reading news, or simply "cruising" the Internet.
