High Speed Internet access is currently being designed for Campolindo High School and the Acalanes Union High School District. The network should be installed by the start of the '96 school year. The purpose of the network is as follows:
Currently, the proposed system will consist of a dedicated T1 digital leased line at each school, including one located at the district office. Internet connectivity will be provided by Sprintlink or MCI backbone networks. For security purposes, administrative data will firewalled from the student network. Student database software will be updated to provide interconnectivity with the district office and other schools. Color student pictures will also be integrated in this new database.
New Network!
We recently finished the installation of a new network in the library.
Here is a list of the new setup:
Students are able to browse the multi-media encyclopedia, type papers and reports, search for magazines and other periodicals, and access the Internet. An HP4M laser printer is provided for student printing.
