Welcome to the virtual side of Instruction & Research Support, a division of
University Of Central Florida Computer Services. I&R Support provides public access computer labs
to students who wish to use IBM PCs, Apple Macintosh, or IBM AIX computers. We also provide
short courses,
software installation for classes,
instructional accounts, and
technical support to faculty, staff, and students.
Currently available resources:
- Florida Computer Crimes Act
- Ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law. This is mandatory reading
for all users of Computer Services' computing facilities.
- I&R Reference Manual
- This is a manual for the IBM 9221-130, IBM AIX RISC POWERstations (UNIX),
Pegasus e-mail server, Apple Macintosh, and the Novell LAN. Most software
packages and their uses are discussed in this manual. The manual also
contains information on the use of the various operating systems and their
access (such as dialing in).
- University of Central Florida
- The Central UCF Web server, with link to all the other known information
servers (WWW and Gopher) on campus.
