(MFI) is one of the fastest growing publishing companies in the U.S., and the third largest producer of trade shows in the U.S. Miller Freeman markets products via a number of media: business magazines, special interest consumer magazines, books and directories, trade shows, conferences, newsletters, postcard decks, CD ROM, and more. Miller Freeman Company History

Founded in 1902, Miller Freeman initially focused on natural resource industries and western regional service markets. It later entered specialized high-technology areas of the medical, computer, and electronic fields. In 1985 the company was acquired by United Newspapers, plc.

In 1989 and 1990 the company went into the special interest consumer market by acquiring several music magazines, and by startups and acquisitions greatly expanded its conference and trade show management activities in the computer and paper industries.

In 1991, Miller Freeman Publications combined with Gralla Publications to form Miller Freeman, Inc. Gralla's operations comprised 20 magazines and many trade shows serving markets in the travel, retail, and merchandising arenas. In 1992, Miller Freeman acquired M&T Publishing, Inc. and its four magazines in the software development and networking markets.
