STREET CENTS ONLINE is about your money -- how to get it and how not
to get ripped off when you spend it. Our young correspondents from across Canada
are always looking for what's a deal - and what's not. This is where you can see
what they've found out (last updated: Friday, April 28, 1995).
This week, our focus is on SPORTS. We've checked out
basketballs, badminton racquets, pro sports clothing, power cheerleading, and
compared Sega and Super NES video games. It's just one of the 18 topics we're concentrating on this year.
New episodes of StreetCents (the TV Show) will return in the fall, but in
the meantime you can use our online summer
schedule to help you catch any shows you might have missed. You can also see
who won official Street Cents T-Shirts
this year, and for what, by checking into our complete list of TShirt winners. And don't forget
about the Street Cents Screen Saver for Windows! If you haven't picked it up
yet, you can download this animation and
accompanying directions
and have Two-Bit the HedgeHog push the Street Cents logo across your very own
computer screen. (Please note that this works only under Windows.)
We'd like you to be a member of the Street Cents Online club. We'll send you regular email about what's
coming up on our TV series and other insider stuff about how teenagers can be
tough consumers. You can also join our discussion
group and tell everyone about things that matter to you, or just talk to us,
via email to streetcents@screen.com.
Our TV series is on the CBC every
weekend and from here you can compare what
the hosts are like on the show to what they're like in real life, meet some
of the people who work backstage,
read about why the show started, and find
out how the show is made.
