Smileyface rages against the machine

Smileyface's success is no fluke. The musical talent in this band is abundant, and there's no weak link to speak of. Paquin, the lone guitarist, has been called the best at Paly. Metz and Horne provide for a throbbing background at bass and drums, respectively. Ricci handles the singing part, creating simple but enjoyable vocal melodies. Song lyrics are written by Paquin or Ricci, and deal with such topics as anger, insecurity, and, of course, spoiled Palo Altans who shop at the Gap....

With their popularity swelling, Smileyface could'nt hope for a better time to unveil their debut demo tape.

"The time is definitely right", said Metz. "Our popularity is peaking right now."

The long awaited demo is a three song production featuring "Wunder Years", "Frunt" and "Upset," in that order.
