Welcome to VIVA New Mexico! Our purpose is to provide all the interesting information about New Mexico that we can -- things to do and see, places to eat, how to buy Indian jewelry or pottery or rugs, interesting historical and natural facts, information about New Mexico's writers and artists -- you name it.
Not only that, we want to get YOU involved. We are installing a forms management capability that will allow you to contribute restaurant reviews, event reviews, art reviews -- YOUR views and opinions of all things New Mexican. Occasionally, we hope to produce a New Mexico FAQ that will be available here and on Internet news. So VIVA New Mexico! is intended to be interactive -- to belong to those who use it.
In the mean time, we will be under heavy construction, complete with detours and dead ends. Please bear with us. We will try to load information first, and art second. It's not that we don't like art, but we feel the information is primary. We will also try to have small, quick-loading versions of most of the art we use. Click on the image if you want to see a larger version.
We may also have to change the overall organization from time to time as we grow.
Since we intend to promote all things New Mexican, we will point you to a lot of other New Mexico WWW servers that we know about. Another good place to look for discussion of things New Mexican, if your local newsserver provides it, is the Internet newsgroup called alt.culture.us.southwest.
