The 18 individual sites in the LTER network, plus a Network Office, are geographically dispersed across the continental United States, Alaska, Puerto Rico and Antarctica (see maps below). There are over 775 researchers, affiliated with more than 40 different institutions, listed in the LTER Personnel Directory .
