Using seismic soundings we get from industry we devise imaginative concepts and write clever programs (some C++), and we use high performance computers, to make images of the earth's interior. We do reproducible research with electronic documents. Many Ph.D. theses are available on CD-ROM (FAQ). The SEP ftp server is "sepftp.stanford.edu". SEPlib is SEP's seismic processing utilities for UNIX platforms.

SEP hosts and maintains for the Society of Exploration Geophysics (SEG) a LaTeX package called SEGTeX including styles for preprints, manuscripts, and Extended Abstracts.
