About The Post

• Rome Lab's Computer Science and Engineering Explorer Post provides all interested high school age students with access to modern computer technology, and gives them the opportunity to develop a working knowledge of various computer systems, operating systems, programming languages, networking concepts, and application programs.
• Members come to meetings once a week and learn about the expanding realm of computer technology. This involves the Internet, UNIX, World Wide Web, E-mail, C programming, and many other exciting activities.

Location

• The Explorers meet at Rome Laboratory, located at Griffiss Air Force Base in the heart of beautiful, historic Rome, New York.
• The meetings are held in the Electromagnetics and Reliability Directorate facilities of Rome Laboratory.

Sponsorship

• The Explorer Post 500 is chartered by Rome Laboratory, and is part of the Land of the Oneidas Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
