807-CITY's first three partners were:

• The government agency CANARIE (Canadian Network for Advancement of Research, Industry and Education), which has funded Phase 1 of 807-CITY's mission, a project entitled "The Promotion of Tourism Through the Internet". It is providing information through the Internet to prospective and actual visitors to the region in general and to the 1995 Nordic World Ski Championships in particular.

• Digital Equipment of Canada, which has donated to 807-CITY the DEC Alpha 3000/500 on which this Web/Gopher is mounted.

• Lakehead University, the Lead Contractor and supplier of donations in kind.
