This page was devised one morning at about 2:00 after a long night of reckless abandon on Bus #6 in our caravan of 10. I was sitting, mildly hungover, staring out the window into the dark night on the way back from an incredible game with Notre Dame in Orlando, FL (final score FSU 24, ND 17... revenge is sweet) when I realized that I had the very unique opportunity (as I was setting up home pages for the College of Engineering) to create a home page for one of the most respected organizations on FSU's campus. Thus the idea was born.

Here is some general information on the Chiefs (audition, etc.)
The Florida State University Marching Chiefs is made up of approximately 450 (official count for 1994 was 427 but varies from year to year) young men and women representing virtually every major available at Florida State University. The Marching Chiefs, in addition to their halftime and pregame performances, regularly travel to away football games (including Bowl games), participate in the Homecoming parade, and are an integral part in the School of Music's remarkable Prism concert in early December. The Chief's arrangements are largely composed by our personal arranger Dr. Charles Carter, whom recently celebrated his 40th year as the backbone to both the Chiefs' music and their unforgettable sound. The Marching Chiefs are the only marching band ever to be featured in Sports Illustrated in addition to having traveled overseas to play, therefore earning the title of "world-renowned". The Chiefs have consistently raised the standards for both band performance and musicality and uphold a proud and reputable tradition for excellence.

The shows for the 1994 football season were (I hate only having 5 home games):
