What is WWW

The World Wide Web, WWW, is an distributed information system similar to Gopher/LUCI. However it uses Hypertext rather than text files as its base structure. It is growing in use and may well rival Gopher in the future in popularity.

WWW at Lakehead

The use of WWW is an alternative to LUCI for distributing information. (LUCI is Lakehead's gopher based Campus Wide Information System.) It's advantages are:
