Established in 1898, Krema has been satisfying the discriminating tastes of nut lovers for nearly 100 years. Our old fashioned values and commitment to quality, not to mention the tender loving care of our dedicated workers, keep them coming back for more.
What makes our products special? so unique? In a nutshell, it is the freshness, and delicious, natural taste of all our products.
Our peanut butter is completely natural. Always has been. And with no salt, sugar or preservatives added, it's healthy for you, too.
Our Master Roaster has been with Krema nearly 20 years. Under his watchful eye, Krema nuts are gently roasted in small batches, by hand. It is this time-honored tradition that gives Krema nuts their distinctive, robust flavor, making them the tastiest nuts in town.
Here at the Krema Nut Company we still make peanut butter the same old-fashioned way we did in 1898. After all, it's the only way we know how. You see, Krema is the oldest commercial peanut butter manufacturer in the United States - maybe even the world. Your hosts, Mike and Peggy Giunta, are just as proud of their of their peanut butter today as Krema's founder, Benton Black, was when he began making peanut butter more than 95 years ago.
There's only one reasons why Krema's been in business for so long. Just slowly ground, fresh roasted U.S. #1 fancy grade Spanish peanuts - pure and simple. There always seems to be fresh-made peanut butter ready for just about the time you come by. Folks enjoy visiting the Krema Peanut Butter Factory so much that our tour was acclaimed as one of the "Most Popular" of the Ameriflora Celebration.
We then carefully remove the peanut hearts (those little parts at the top of a whole peanut that break off when you pull on them) because they give the peanut butter a bitter taste. The only other thing we do is grind the peanuts slowly so that we're sure to get only the creamiest, "peanutiest" taste possible. The peanut butter is still warm from grinding when you get to taste it. We don't add any sugar, salt, hydrogenated vegetable oils or preservatives. We even still put the labels on the jars by hand!
Krema Products Company is renowned for our wide selection of quality, gourmet products. Krema Cashews are unsurpassed in taste and size. We offer other gourmet nuts as well, such as California almonds, pistachios, pecans, and Brazil nuts. Or combine a variety of nuts with exotic fruits and spices for a delectable blend of mouth-watering mixes.
In addition to our natural peanut butter is a new and delicious line of nut butters, such as our gourmet Cashew Butter for a light and delicate flavor. And our Honey Cinnamon Almond Butter, packed with crisp walnuts and plump, juicy raisins.
Come visit the Krema peanut butter factory. We're sure you'll enjoy the tour every bit as much as you'll enjoy the incredible aroma and taste of fresh roasted, slowly ground peanut butter. We'll also let you sample our cashew butter and honey cinnamon almond butter, as well as the most delicious jumbo cashews you've ever tasted - The Krema Cashew. We'll also tell you about how peanuts are grown and other amazing peanut butter facts!
After the tour, stop in our gourmet nut and gift store and take some of our great fresh roasted nuts home to your friends and family - and don't forget some for yourself! In addition to peanuts, cashews and almonds we have Brazil nuts, pecans and pistachios. All of them are available either gourmet roasted or raw (for baking). We also have gift baskets, snack mixes, fudge, candies and popcorn specialties.
