SYSTEM BENCHMARKS

Each G5 and S5-2200 system tested included an Intel^® Pentium^® processor with MMX^TM technology. S5-2100 systems included Pentium processors. G6 systems included Pentium II processors. The 2100 S5-120 has a 120MHz processor, the 2100 S5-133 has a 133MHz processor, the 2200 S5-150 has a 150MHz processor with MMX, the G5-166M and 2200 S5-166 have 166MHz processors with MMX, the G5-200M has a 200MHz processor with MMX, the G6-233 has a 233MHz Pentium II processor, and the G6-266 has a 266MHz Pentium II processor.
Ziff Davis' Winstone 32 version 1.0 overall score and WinBench^® 96 version 1.0 CPUmark16 and CPUmark32 were achieved on our desktop systems using 32MB SDRAM (G6-233 and G6-266 desktop systems used 32MB EDO DRAM), 512k Cache, 3.2GB Ultra ATA hard drive, Intel 82371SB PCI Bus Mastering IDE controller and 128K multi-segmented disk cache, STB ViRGE^TM/GX video adapter with 4MB VRAM with driver refresh rate of 75Hz, Toshiba 12Xmin/16Xmax EIDE CD-ROM drive with no CD-ROM specific software cache (G5 systems used a Mitsumi 12X CD-ROM drive), Microsoft^® Windows^® 95B, vcache, and 1024 X 768 pixels, 256 colors.
Scores were achieved on our Gateway^TM Solo^® 2100 Series using 32MB DRAM, 1.44GB hard drive, Chips and Tech video controller, 1MB DRAM, TEAC CD-48E CD-ROM drive, MS Windows 95 operating system and 1024 X 768 X 16 colors. Scores were achieved on our Gateway Solo 2200 series using the same specifications as the Gateway Solo 2100 series, with the exception of 2MB DRAM.

CPUmark16 - A 16-bit test that reflects the processor usage of 16-bit applications and focuses solely on a PC’s CPU, RAM, cache and cache controller.
CPUmark32 - A 32-bit test that reflects the processor usage of 32-bit applications and focuses solely on a PC’s CPU, RAM, cache and cache controller.
Business Winstone 97 - Measures overall system performance in a 32-bit operating system environment including disk and graphics on everyday business applications.
High-End Winstone^® 97 - Measures overall system performance in a 32-bit operating system environment including disk and graphics on demanding or specialized applications, such as 3-D visualization or application development.
