About The Berkeley Museum of Paleontology

The Museum of Paleontology is located on the campus of the University of California at Berkeley in The Valley Life Sciences Building, where we have expanded space for our public exhibits. UCMP is charged with the conservation of paleontological materials, collections development, and research and instructional support. It provides an intellectual center for paleontology. The Museum's enormous collections are ranked 4th in America in size, and include protists, plants, invertebrates and vertebrates. The collections are available to researchers at the Museum or through an extensive loan program.
