Hydra Status Information
Thursday - May 18, 1995 (Upgrade Planned)
Hydra is being tenatively planned for an OS upgrade on Saturday, June 17, 1995.
This will bring Hydra from Irix 5.2 to Irix 5.3, which does multi-processor
support somewhat better, as well as fixes several bugs. This upgrade will
take several hours of downtime to upgrade the OS, the packages, and install
any necessary patches.
Tuesday - May 16, 1995 (Board Replacement)
Hydra had 1 CPU board and the FDDI interface replaced in order to
fix cache and network problems that were crashing the machine.
The board swaps appear to have fixed the problems.
