Turner Associates - Background Information

TURNER ASSOCIATES/ARCHITECTS & PLANNERS, INC. was founded by Oscar
L. Harris, AIA in 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia to offer architectural
services. Turner Associates is a 100% minority owned firm.

The firm developed its first clients in transportation related
fields, but soon after began to offer its acquired management and
architectural skills to educational, governmental, engineering,
housing, corporate, and developer clients. The firm remains
committed to the transportation and aviation industry. Early in the

firm's history it was selected for various assignments by the City
of Atlanta, Fulton County Government and the State of Georgia. This
provided Turner Associates the opportunity to develop excellent
working relationships with the staff of each of these governmental
entities.

Turner Associates' sixteen years of growth and success is
attributed to the firm's commitment to the Totally Involved Client
Concept. The firm involves their clients in each phase of the
project from concept design through occupancy.


The Creative Design Management process is used in the early phases
of each project to ensure input from the client, all design
disciplines and all interested parties from the outset. The
Creative Design Management process is a tested process utilizing a
sequence of workshops to reveal each groups needs, goals and ideas
in the early phases of the project. This process ensures not only
proper understanding by the design team of all aspects of the
project, but also participation and support by the client. All

opportunities and constraints provided by the site, budget,
schedule and program are important considerations and become woven
into the fabric of the design options.

Turner Associates' Atlanta office, has a professional staff of 60,
providing comprehensive architectural services, construction
administration and construction management.  All
engineering-related services are available through the use of
carefully selected consultants.

Our project experience is varied and includes the Expansion and

Renovation of the International Concourse and Federal Inspection
Facilities, Delta Hangar and Shop Renovation and the Delta Crown
Room at Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport. As well, the firm
worked as a design consultant to the prime engineers for the
Dunwoody and Doraville MARTA stations for Metropolitan Atlanta
Rapid Transit Authority.

Turner Associates is currently the prime architect for the new $70
million Concourse "E" at Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport.

This 1.4 million square foot concourse employs the most innovative
technology available and will allow the simultaneous operation of
24 wide body aircraft.

The firm was also the prime architect for "The Atrium" Central
Passenger Terminal Complex, currently under construction. This
225,000 s.f. passenger terminal facility will offer travelers a
mall-like atmosphere on one level and conference and meeting rooms
on a  separate level.
