THE BRITISH COLUMBIA LEGISLATIVE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM - 1996
PURPOSE: To provide recent university graduates with an interest
in public affairs an opportunity to supplement their academic
insights of the legislative process with practical legislative and
administrative experience.
ELIGIBILITY: Students who have received a degree from a British
Columbia University by the program commencement date.
HOW MANY: Seven Legislative Interns will be chosen for the 1996
Program.
LOCATION: Parliament Buildings, Victoria, British Columbia
WHEN: Commencing in January, the Program's duration is 26 weeks.
STIPEND: $1,700.00 per month (under review)
APPLICATION DEADLINE: 4:00 P.M., JANUARY 20, 1995
HOW TO APPLY: Program applications are available from the
Political Science Departments, and the Student Employment Centres
on Campus, at the University of Victoria, Simon Fraser University
and the University of British Columbia. They are also available
from the Office of Assembly Services located at 431 Menzies
Street, Victoria, British Columbia, V8V 1X4.
